Join a brand-new singing group dedicated to exploring sea shanties and maritime music, celebrating the rich musical heritage of East Anglia's fishermen and sailors from days gone by. We'll meet and sing at the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston, just a stone's throw from the Norfolk shoreline—close enough for the rhythm of the waves to lend their own accompaniment to our voices. This group will celebrate the music of our local seafaring communities, bringing to life the folk songs they created to share stories, mark the passing of time at sea, and preserve their culture. Led by Paul and Stephen of The Rogue Shanty Buoys—a professional sea shanty group with over a decade of experience - the group is part of a wider cultural and arts/heritage research project run by their not-for-profit arts organisation, The Voice cLoud. With a passion for keeping maritime music alive, they'll guide you through a stirring and spirited repertoire. Sign up to come along and sing traditional sea shanties, whaling songs, naval ballads, work songs, foc'sle tunes, and romantic ballads of roguish ne'er-do-wells. Expect tales of shipwrecks, smuggling, seafarers, and even the occasional murder ballad - all wrapped in evocative melodies of a bygone era. Fortnightly on a Tuesday, 1:30pm-3pm.

Packed with laughs, songs, sparkle and plenty of audience participation, this is classic family fun at its festive best. Join Jack, Dame Trott, Silly Billy and a whole host of larger-than-life characters as they take on a greedy giant, climb an enormous beanstalk and try to save the village from doom! Expect magical moments, dazzling costumes and more than a few surprises along the way. Running from 4 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, with matinees and evening performances throughout the festive season.

Captioned Performances – Monday 22nd December
Both performances on the 22nd December will be captioned, which means that there will be screens on either side of the stage displaying the words being spoken on the stage for those who are hard of hearing or deaf.

Relaxed Performance – Wednesday 17th December, 5:30pm

Join us for a Relaxed Performance - a friendly, inclusive show designed for anyone who prefers a calmer theatre experience.
During this performance:

House lights stay at 50% throughout.

No pyros, smoke, or low fog (haze (water vapour) will be used as usual).

The cast introduces themselves at the start of the show.

Our bar becomes a quiet space for anyone who’d like a break, while still serving drinks at the usual times.

A " Welcome to the Pav" video helps you know what to expect before you arrive.

Loud noises will be adjusted to make the experience more comfortable.

Everyone is welcome — it’s the perfect way to enjoy great theatre in a relaxed, judgment-free setting.

Singing can make you feel healthier and more positive – and has been shown to improve your quality of life if you live with a lung health condition.
These sessions are held fortnightly in our upstairs studio and are led by an experienced facilitator, which include:
Breathing exercises
Gentle mindfulness and relaxation
Singing in a relaxed group setting – no experience necessary!
Research shows that after six months of attending sessions:

57% reduction in hospital admissions
More ability to manage breathlessness

Coffee Club

Start your week with calm...and learn how to return to calm anytime, anywhere. Did you know there are huge potential benefits for your mind and body when you meditate and practice mindfulness? There is now a huge body of scientific evidence and research studies that show how meditation can positively impact our health and wellbeing, such as reducing stress and blood pressure, improving sleep & mood, and regulating our nervous system & emotions. Meditation isn't about turning off our brains; it's about taking some time to observe our minds and bodies as they are, learning techniques and tools for letting go of worries and anxieties, and embracing the present moment.
Intrigued to find out more and try it yourself? Come and join local Meditation Teacher Emma who will guide you through a wide range of meditation practices. Emma has practiced meditation herself for over 17 years and experienced such significant benefits from it that she decided to train with and become a member of the British School of Meditation so that she could share meditation with more people.
Hot drinks are provided in these sessions, included in the ticket price. No experience needed to attend, open to all aged 18+ however the room can only be accessed via stairs so is not fully accessible. After booking you will be asked to complete a short form to comply with health and safety requirements. There will be standard seats at the class but if you feel you'd prefer to sit on lay on a yoga mat, please feel free to bring one along with you. We suggest you bring along a bottle of water and an extra layer as the weather gets cooler.

Now they have gathered for afternoon tea in front of Margery Mullberry’s potting shed. All is well, or so it seems. However, unbeknown to this gardening fraternity, plans are afoot to redevelop the allotment site, turning it into a private health club and golf course. It is inconceivable to Chairperson Margery that this could happen without her knowledge. After all Councillor Bingley Bushel is a very close friend of hers and surely wouldn’t do anything like this without telling her first. As this farce unfolds, Margery finds her trust has been misguided. Not only have the plans been passed, the allotment holders are being given just one day to vacate. Enraged, Margery rallies her motley horticultural troops to take up arms, or hoe and spade, against Councillor Bushel and the bulldozers. Can they win the day?

and close friends of Williams were unanimous in their praise. Thirty years on, and in celebration of Kenneth Williams’ 100th Birthday, David Benson
revisits his classic portrait of the much-missed Carry On star in a new version of the
show exploring the astonishing connection that intertwined his life with that of Williams
when Benson was still a schoolboy. In a dazzling display of impeccably honed stage craft, Benson gives an unsparing
portrayal of the tormented comic genius, lurching from hilarity to self-pity in public and in
